Premature birth and complications in labor are always associated, such as asphyxia, infection and birth defects, which are the cause of most neonatal deaths. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between parity and anemia with the incidence of preterm labor. This research is a quantitative observational analytical study with an individual matched case-control design, a retrospective approach using secondary data from mothers giving birth in the Obstetrics and Obstetrics Department of Arifin Achmad Hospital Riau for the period January 2016 – December 2018 which was carried out in May – June 2023. The sample size was 259 cases and 259 controls. From the parity chi-square test carried out, a p-value of 0.855 (≥ 0.05) was obtained, where it was concluded that there was no relationship between parity and the incidence of premature labor and from the chi-square test for anemia, a p-value of 0.00 was obtained ( <0.05) so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between anemia in pregnancy and OT at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province. The predominant species, Aspergillus fumigatus, is responsible for a spectrum of conditions ranging from invasive to noninvasive aspergillosis. This literature review aims to provide an exhaustive analysis of post-TB pulmonary aspergilloma, a clinical condition characterized by the growth of Aspergillus fungal balls within pre-existing lung cavities. Utilizing databases such as PubMed, Science Direct, EBSCO, Emerald, Scopus, and Google Scholar, and employing keywords such as "tuberculosis," "aspergillus," "aspergilloma," and "pulmonary," we meticulously applied the PICO framework and the CRAAP (Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose) criteria to select 20 pertinent articles. The findings indicate that pulmonary aspergilloma manifests in approximately 11% to 17% of individuals post-TB treatment, presenting a clinical spectrum from asymptomatic to severe, life-threatening hemoptysis. Classification into simple and complex aspergilloma is based on specific clinical and radiological criteria. Diagnosis is contingent upon the identification of clinical symptoms, assessment of risk factors, and the corroboration of Aspergillus infection through radiological (chest X-ray and CT scan) and serological or microbiological evidence. Management of pulmonary aspergilloma entails non-operative and operative strategies, with surgical intervention being the definitive treatment, especially in cases of recurrent or massive hemoptysis. This study aimed to analyze the risk factors for primary dysmenorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea. This research is a cross analytical design. The sample in this study was all medical faculty students at Riau University in 2019-2022, namely 410 people. From the research results, it was found that there was a relationship between menstrual blood volume, history of food allergies and stress with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea. Meanwhile, the incidence of secondary dysmenorrhea was related to age, menstrual cycle, history of the sample's gestational age at birth, history of low birth weight (LBW), history of emotional violence, stress and birth history of samples from preeclamptic mothers at the time of delivery. This research concluded that there were several significant findings regarding factors related to the occurrence of dysmenorrhea in Riau University medical students in 2019 - 2022. The research showed the importance of paying attention to factors such as the length of the menstrual cycle, history of food allergies, history of emotional violence, stress, and history of maternal preeclampsia in efforts to prevent and manage dysmenorrhea in the population. It is recommended that future research further explore the association between the identified risk factors and the incidence of dysmenorrhea, potentially revealing additional insights to guide clinical practice and public health initiatives.
Amrullah Syah Putra, Nicko Pisceski Kusika Saputra, Noviardi Noviardi, Ismawati Ismawati Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Media Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan https://jurnal.polkesban.ac.id/index.php/jmp2k/article/view/1974 Sun, 31 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0800 PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA VIDEO EDUKASI GIZI SEIMBANG SEBAGAI UPAYA DALAM PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT TIDAK MENULAR PADA REMAJA https://jurnal.polkesban.ac.id/index.php/jmp2k/article/view/1852
Teenagers are a group vulnerable to obesity. Decreased self-efficacy in childbirth can cause birth complications such as prolonged labor, fatigue and weakness in the mother, which results in the mother's failure to undergo a natural birth. Antenatal education is an appropriate alternative to increase mothers' knowledge of the birth process. The aim of the research was to examine the effectiveness of antenatal education in reducing fear of childbirth and increasing childbirth self-efficacy in primiparous mothers. The structure of this research is a detailed analysis using the PRISMA flow diagram. Researchers applied the PICO method and searched for articles in English published between 2018 and 2023. Some of the databases used included Proquest, PUBMED, Sage Journal, Springer Link, Science Direct, EBSCO, Plos One and Taylor & Francis. Article quality assessment using JBI Critical Appraisal Tools for RCT. Seven articles were identified and analyzed, all articles used a Randomized Controlled Trial design. The research sample numbered 56 to 182, consisting of primiparas in the age range 18-32 years with a gestational age of <34 weeks and was conducted in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran and China. From the literature search, in general it can be concluded that antenatal education provided to primiparous mothers is effective in reducing fear of childbirth and increasing self-efficacy in childbirth.
Syamsuriati Syamsuriati, Imami Nur Rachmawati, Wiwit Kurniawati Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Media Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan https://jurnal.polkesban.ac.id/index.php/jmp2k/article/view/2010 Sun, 31 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0800 DAYA HAMBAT DARI EKSTRAK SARANG BURUNG WALET PADA PERTUMBUHAN BAKTERI STREPTOCOCCUS MUTANS DAN PORPHYROMONAS GINGIVALIS https://jurnal.polkesban.ac.id/index.php/jmp2k/article/view/1790
Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is one of the fastest growing global diseases of the 21st century, with its prevalence more than tripling in the last 20 years and affecting 10.5% of the world's population aged 20-79 years. In Indonesia, diabetes mellitus among 20-79 year olds is 10.6%. The most widely cultivated type of swallow nest is Collocatia fuciphaga. Collocatia fuciphaga is a species of bird that produces nests from its white saliva. Swallow's nest contains sialic acid which is only produced from saliva, calcium, glycoproteins and Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), one of the benefits of which is to accelerate wound healing. The study aimed to determine the inhibition of swallow's nest extract on the growth of Streptococcus mutans and Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteria. The swallow's nest extract test used an experimental design approach, namely conducting laboratory tests. The initial stage was to make swallow's nest extract by maceration technique using 96% ethanol solvent (the aim is to get anti-bacterial active substances, namely D-Galactose and Sialic acid contained in swallow's nest), the result of the extraction was a dry extract weighing 1.8195 grams which was then dissolved again using DMSO solution with concentrations of 10%, 20%, and 30%. The second stage is the swallow's nest extract test with the two test bacteria. The results of the swallow's nest extract test at concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30% against Streptococcus mutans and Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteria showed no inhibition. Future research could be further developed toward wound healing
Ulfah Utami, Megananda Hiranya Putri, Neneng Nurjanah, Eldarita Eldarita Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Media Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan https://jurnal.polkesban.ac.id/index.php/jmp2k/article/view/1790 Sun, 31 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0800
