ANALISIS TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN KEPATUHAN AHLI TEKNOLOGI LABORATORIUM MEDIS TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI DI RUMAH SAKIT HOSANA CIKARANG

Abstrak

Accidents or potential dangers and illnesses due to not using personal protective equipment can be caused by negligence, lack of knowledge and work experience staff.The purpose of this study is to evaluate laboratory staff awareness and adherence to the usage of PPE at Hosana Hospital. This research method is descriptive correlation, namely a study that aims to describe or explain the research problem by looking at the analysis of the level of knowledge and compliance of laboratory staff regarding the use of personal protective equipment from September-November 2023.The population in this study were subjects from Laboratory Workers at Hosana Hospital. The study's findings demonstrated that, according to the chi-square analysis test, there was no correlation between gender and education and the degree of medical knowledge and compliance. Laboratory staff regarding the use of PPE because the p-value or sig was obtained. which is more than 0.05.Because the p-value or sig value is acquired, there's a link between age and duration of service on the degree of expertise and compliance of laboratory staff. which is less than 0.05 (α). Regarding the use of PPE, a p-value or sig was obtained. amounting to 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that there's a relationship between the level of knowledge and the use of PPE and the p-value or sig value obtained. of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of compliance with the use of  PPE.
